GREETINGS ETC CITES SPIFFY PRESS IN LETTERPRESS TRENDS ARTICLE

Greetings Etc., Winter 2011 edition cites Scott Wallin of Spiffy Press in its Noteworthy Article, “Letterpressing Matters,” about the increased interest in letterpress printing.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 1, 2011 – Spiffy Press, a young letterpress design and printing business in Pasadena, CA, was recently cited by Greetings Etc. magazine to weigh in on its article about the growing interest in letterpress goods.

The article states, “The more pervasive use of letterpress is one reason why Scott Wallin sees the market expanding to include a larger number of consumers. ‘From our point of view, the greatest interest in letterpress among consumers comes from those who want fresh, new designs for all types of stationery goods,’ Wallin notes. ‘Whether it’s the non-traditional bride looking for an invitation that stands out and sets the tone for the event, or a business that wants to differentiate itself with a business card that doesn’t look like it was generated from a template, we see that there are people who care about sending quality correspondence.’”

The Tsai-Lo wedding is a recent example of a non-traditional, custom-designed invitation, also featured in the Los Angeles Times’ “Image” column. Maggie Tsai and Kevin Lo knew they needed a standout invitation for their wedding and reception with a vintage travel theme. They turned to Spiffy Press to design a custom invitation to set the mood for the event. Tsai said, “Everyone LOVED the invitation! We got such great feedback, everyone is so excited about the wedding! I am really glad we worked with you. I've always loved letterpress stationery, and the invitation is beyond my expectations. Thank you for being great to work with!”

One-of-a-kind custom design and letterpress printing isn’t just for weddings. Businesses, especially new businesses with younger males at the helm, seek details that set them apart from their peers when it comes to business stationery and marketing collateral. “Letterpress has typically been dominated by women,” says Wallin, “but Spiffy Press has seen men in the legal, retail and home furnishing industries use letterpress as a differentiator to get their company noticed.” Custom business stationery, including business cards and letterhead systems.
