Getting to know you — The development process starts with a conversation to learn about you, your event, interests, style, timeline and budget. We then create a cost estimate and, with your deposit, design two different versions for you to choose from.

Generally, this step takes about two weeks. Your deposit of 50% of the design fee gets the process started and is our mutual contract to work within these expectations.

You get:

• Two different design directions to choose from (sent via PDF or in person, if you are local to the Los Angeles/Pasadena area)
• A detailed timeline of the project, including due dates and milestones

Incorporating your details — Your chosen design from the two directions will be developed into all components of your invitation (save-the-date card, invitation, RSVP card, envelopes, thank you cards, etc.). At this step, you will provide final text for all pieces of your invitation. We have suggested text to get you started if you need help with this. Generally, this step takes about two weeks.

You get:

• A hard-copy mock-up of your complete invitation for you to see and hold in your hands. This will give you a sense of how your guests will experience your invitation when they receive it
• The opportunity to make final text changes and completely proof and review the final invitation. It is your responsibility to ensure proper name spelling, titles, addresses and other personal or event-specific information. It is our responsibility to ensure grammatical accuracy.

Giving the green light — With your final sign-off and payment of the remaining design fee, your invitation is printed. Generally, this step takes two to three weeks.
